With three feet of snow falling at Aspen Highlands during the month of April and a base of over 100 inches in Highland Bowl, the mountain will re-open the next two weekends, April 18-19 and 25-26, for skiing and riding. Nearly a foot of snow is expected by this Friday just in time for the re-opening of the mountain.

U.S. Snowboarding's halfpipe athletes aren't done riding 22-foot walls just yet as they head to Aspen/Snowmass to ride Buttermilk Mountain's renowned X Games superpipe for a spring training camp April 7- 20 to prepare for the 2010 Winter Olympics. Buttermilk's pipe, which is one of only five 22-foot pipes in North America and was recently chosen as the Number One pipe in Transworld Snowboarding’s readers poll.

Aspen Skiing Company announced today that it will extend the season at Aspen Highlands through April 26. A series of spring storms has pushed the base depth in Highland Bowl to over 100 inches – the deepest it's been all season. Highlands will open on Saturday and Sunday, April 18-19 and April 25-26.

Snowmass confirmed athletes for the second annual CoverGirl Snow Angels Invitational including Gretchen Bleiler, Kelly Clark, and Elena Hight.

On Saturday Night the Terrace Bar at the Little Nell will be hosting “Studio 54” from 9pm-1am. The party will feature DJ Dylan spinning the best of the 70’s and early 80’s. The event is free to attend and costumes are highly encouraged.
