Event Description

Join thousands of women, men and children racing to the finish line, and help us further our mission of eradicating breast cancer as a life-threatening disease by advancing research, education, screening and treatment.

The Aspen Race for the Cure® funds breast health initiatives in Pitkin, Garfield and Eagle Counties and provides grants to local non-profits.

The Race attracts men, women and children of all ages and athletic abilities. It is an emotional and exhilarating event that gives women and their families an opportunity to support the fight against breast cancer in their communities, to remember those who have lost the battle, and to celebrate those who are surviving.

About The Aspen Race for the Cure

The Aspen Race helps raise money for grants to our local service area. 25% of funds help fund the Susan G. Komen Foundations' innovative and cutting edge National Research program. 75% of funds raised stay in our local community.

About the Komen Race for the Cure

The Susan G. Komen For the Cure was established in 1982 by Nancy Brinker to honor the memory of her sister Susan, who died of breast cancer at the age of 36. The Aspen Affiliate has been active since 1991, and has raised over $4-million.
